The New and Improved Wilmslow Artisan Market

We were really excited to be invited back to Wilmslow Artisan Market last weekend, especially because it was the first event at the fab new location on the Alderley Service Road. The market has been moved back to its original Saturday, and been moved off Grove Street – making for a really lovely location and a very busy day for us!

The stalls had been beautifully curated with an amazing selection of food and drink stalls at one end, and fab local arts and crafts at the other. We were so busy we didn’t even get time to venture down to the food stalls, but we could smell the delights of burgers and pancakes being sizzled, and could hear the live music buzzing all the way down Alderley Road. The tree-lined avenue looked so Autumnal, and there was a very festive feel to the day! Not even the rain and wind kept our customers away.

Our Rowallan Bushman range of oiled leather satchels were very popular this weekend – they come handcrafted in three beautifully Autumnal colours, brown, plum, and green, and in four different sizes and styles. The Bushman leather is one of most hardwearing leathers, ideal for breezy and drizzly Autumnal afternoon strolls!

It was great to meet so many locals who’d come out especially for the new Saturday market, and us traders were really feeding off the buzz from everyone. Even the local businesses were getting involved and were really pleased with the extra footfall the market was bringing. It was plain to see that The Market Co had put a lot of love into organising Wilmslow, everything had been very carefully thought out and it really paid off! We can’t wait for the next!
