Chatsworth Country Fair 2014

We’ve just got back from a long weekend at Chatsworth Country Fair, where we had a fab weekend’s trading our lovely Rowallan leather satchels in the Cottage industries shopping tent.

Chatsworth rounded off our Summer of touring the UK country fairs and shows, and it certainly saw us out with a bang! The grounds of the house are absolutely breathtaking, and Duke and Duchess Cavendish of Cornwall – who are lucky enough to own the grounds – prove excellent hosts, and they have been opening up their estate for the country fair every summer for the past three decades.

Rumoured to be the biggest show to date, it really didn’t let us down. We didn’t even make it round the entire show ground in the three days we were there! We absolutely loved the vintage fairground rides, and were lucky enough to catch the hot air balloon demonstrations. As usual, we were very willing to test out the cooking talent and managed to catch a quick cookery demonstration from Queen of baking Mary Berry – to say we were star struck is an understatement!

Despite a huge array of shops selling everything under the sun, our stall stayed busy all weekend, and our vintage inspired leather satchels proved very popular! Overall it was a brilliant send out for the summer, and we can’t wait for the next event at Chatsworth!
