So the kids have been off school for weeks, you’re back off holiday, and things are getting a little bit stale… Well, here at Younique we have become an expert ear to the ground on all that’s happening across the North West! We have spent our summer driving the Younique van full of satchels up hill and down dale to attend some amazing events, and we love to keep up to date with what’s going on. So, we thought we’d share some tips to help alleviate that summer holiday boredom.

The weather has let you down, the kids are moaning, the shops are busy, and if you hear the word ‘muuuuuuum’ one more time you’re going to scream. Why not try something a little different over the next couple of weeks, and embrace summer’s last opportunity to enjoy that glorious British weather….

2. Go on a Mission to Mars at Jodrell Bank
18th-22nd August, Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, FREE event but normal admission applies

Perfect for budding astronauts! This drop in session gives kids the opportunity to visit Mars through a simulation of the Mars Rover. Navigate over alien terrain, solve some tricky tasks, and undertake important scientific experiments. Something tells me this will be fun for adults too!

1. Channel your inner famers at Chatsworth Country Fair
29th – 31st August, Chatsworth Estate, kids under 14 FREE, other ticket prices apply.

Feel like escaping the city and getting some green? The lads have pretended to be astronauts, this is when the girls get to fantasise about being a world famous show jumper! Featuring everything from pony rides to hot air balloons, there is something for every member of the family at Chatsworth – dog shows, craft workshops, falconry displays, cookery demonstrations, and even a spot of highland dancing! We will be trading our lovely leather Rowallan satchels at the fair next weekend, and we’re so excited to be a part of this countryside extravaganza!

Food for thought? We hope so! See you on Mars 😉
